FILMED POEMS

Let’s Meet as if we Remember

Wonderful dance choreography and film woven together with spoken word that calls for us to remember the simple miracle in which we move and which moves within us.

Ben Bushill and Dinraj - Weaver of Longing

This is a film of one of the tracks from my new album. Not the same as the recorded version rather this one features the amazing Sarod of the generous and gifted Deva Dinraj. The incredible Zita Marias has turned a living room jam into a great film. I have so many talented and amazing friends! Thank you both!

The poem speaks to our longing, the endless ache that we all share and which can open the gateway into the very heart of love. As Rumi says, the longing you cry out from is the secret cup. When we shape a relationship and an intimacy with our longing then the one altar where we lay down our pride and give thanks for our lives is never far away. I hope this poem does something to ease that aching journey to your kind and humble knees.

A Hymn for Life

Its a long one, but i think its worth the journey... A hymn for life The forests are burning and the ice cracks and breaks. Whales choke on plastic plankton,...

Gods and Men

Who are we when the endless searching comes to an end? When no one is asking who we are or what we believe? When it is only between us and the life that fills us and surrounds us? Who are we in the quiet moments?

So Damn Intimate

Sharing the same breath, drinking the same water, eating from the same soil. Knowing that we all sprung from the same source, that we walk together on this earth through love and heartbreak. One earth and one web of life.

One Prayer

Our every move, word and dream is a part of the great symphony of life. We are a perfect part of this work of art that is continually unfolding in perfection. A perfection that is wide enough to include staggering foolishness and bone aching grief, gentle bliss and wild ecstasy.

Never Give Up

A call to our persistence in seeing more deeply into the life we are born into. Finding our way through the ordinary back to the miracle that is the essence of creation.
